My FP/Ovulation has been all over the place though, so literally I measure OPK 2 times a day just to make sure I don't miss it. The range has been 18-37 days for ovulation - yup, that's a lot of OPKs! BBT is more "accurate" in that it is the only of the two that will actually confirm that you've ovulated. If you have fertile cervical mucus but no rise in temperature, it could be that you're not ovulating. While fertile quality cervical mucus can warn you that ovulation is coming, so you can time sex for pregnancy, it doesn't confirm that ovulation actually took place. The most important thing to note here is that you can conceive anytime during the 5 days before ovulation and on ovulation day itself. Within your 6-day fertile window, the 2-3 days before ovulation are your most fertile.Therefore, BBT and OPK combined will let you know if you are really O'ing.
